2. Number Key (नंबर की)

Number Keys का प्रयोग टेलीफोन नंबर, अंको, तथा अन्य दूसरे प्रकार के संख्याओं को लिखने के लिए होता है.

Number Keys are used to write telephone numbers, digits, and other types of numbers.

3. Alphabetic Key (अल्फाबेटिक की)

अल्फाबेटिक की का उपयोग अंग्रेजी वर्णमाला के अक्षरों, शब्दों और वाक्यों को लिखने के लिए होता है .

Alphabetic keys are used to write letters, words and sentences of the English alphabet.

4. Arrow or Navigational Keys (एरो या नेविगेशनल की)

Arrow or Navigational Keys कीबोर्ड पर चार की संख्या में होते हैं, जिनका उपयोग मुख्यतः कर्सर को स्क्रीन पर एक स्थान से दुसरे स्थान पर ले जाने में होता है.

Arrow or Navigational Keys are four in number on the keyboard, which are mainly used to move the cursor from one place to another on the screen.

5. Special Keys (स्पेशल की)

स्पेशल की का उपयोग खास प्रकार के कार्यों को करने के लिए होता है .

Special keys are used to perform special functions.

(a) Enter Key

यह कीबोर्ड का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण key है. जिसका उपयोग नए लाइन या पैराग्राफ को शुरू करने तथा कमांड को एक्सीक्यूट (कार्याविंत) करने के करते हैं.

This is the most important key on the keyboard, which is used to start a new line or paragraph and execute commands.

(b) Backspace Key

इस Key का उपयोग अक्षर को बायीं तरफ से मिटाने (कर्सर के बायीं ओर से) के लिए करते हैं. यह प्रायः नंबर की रो के अंत में मौजूद होता है.

This key is used to erase the character from the left side (from the left side of the cursor). It is usually present at the end of the row of numbers.

(c) Delete Key

इस Key का उपयोग अक्षर को दायी तरफ से मिटाने (कर्सर के दायी ओर से) के लिए करते हैं.

This key is used to erase the letter from the right side (from the right side of the cursor).

(d) Numlock Key

इस Key को बिना चालू किये कीबोर्ड के दायीं ओर मौजूद नुमेरिक कीपैड का उपयोग नहीं कर सकते है. इस Key को ऑन करने के लिए Num Lock Key को प्रेस करेंगें. ऑन करते ही Num Lock Keypad इंडिकेटर (हरी लाइट) ऑन हो जायेगा. अब हम इस कीपैड का उपयोग नंबरों को टाइप करने के लिए कर सकते हैं. Num Lock Key को बंद (ऑफ) करने के लिए फिर से Num Lock Key को प्रेस करेंगे. बंद होने के बाद आप Num Lock Key को कर्सर या एरो Keys की तरह उपयोग कर सकेंगे .

Without turning on this key, the numeric keypad on the right side of the keyboard cannot be used. To turn on this key, press the Num Lock key. The Num Lock Keypad indicator (green light) will turn on as soon as it is turned on. Now we can use this keypad to type numbers. To turn off the Num Lock Key, press the Num Lock Key again. After it is turned off, you will be able to use the Num Lock Key as Cursor or Arrow Keys.

(e) Spacebar Key

यह कीबोर्ड की सबसे लम्बी Key होती है. इसका प्रयोग दो शब्दों के बीच दूरी देने के लिए करते हैं .

This is the longest key on the keyboard. It is used to give distance between two words.

(f) Caps Lock Key

इस Key का उपयोग अंग्रेजी के बड़े अक्षरों को लिखने के लिए करते हैं. इस Key को एक बार दबाने से ऑन होता है तथा दूसरी बार दबाने से ऑफ होता है.

Caps Lock Key को ऑन करते ही Numlock Key इंडिकेटर के बगल वाली लाइट ऑन हो जाएगी. जिससे यह पता चलता है कि Caps Lock Key ऑन हो गई है.

नोट: Caps Lock Key ऑन होने पर Shift Key के साथ अगर कोई Letter टाइप करते हैं तो वह छोटी यानि Small Letter में लिखायेगा .

This key is used to write capital letters of English. Pressing this key once turns it on and pressing it a second time turns it off.

The light next to the Numlock Key indicator will turn on as soon as you turn on the Caps Lock Key. From which it is known that the Caps Lock Key has been turned on.

Note: If you type any letter with the Shift Key when the Caps Lock Key is on, it will be written in Small Letter.

(g) Tab Key

Tab Key का प्रयोग कर्सर को अगले Tab Position पर ले जाने के लिए करते हैं. इसका उपयोग करके कर्सर को एक निश्चित दूरी तक पहुँचाया जा सकता है.

Tab Key is used to move the cursor to the next Tab Position. Using this the cursor can be moved to a certain distance.

(h) Shift Key

Shift का मतलब होता है, "उठाना". अक्सर इंग्लिश टाइपिंग में shift key का उपयोग सेंटेंस के पहले लेटर क़ो बड़ी अक्षर यानि कैपिटल में लिखने में मदद करता है,जब आप Caps Lock Key का प्रयोग नहीं कर रहे होते हैं. दूसरी ओर, Shift Key का उपयोग Number या अन्य Key के ऊपर छपे Symbol को उपयोग करने के लिए करते हैं.

जैसे: @ Symbol Number Key 2 पर होता है. इस symbol को अपने डॉक्यूमेंट में उपयोग करने के लिए Shift Key के साथ Number Key 2 को दबाएंगे .@ Symbol डॉक्यूमेंट में प्रिंट यानि दिखाई देने लगेगा.

Shift means "to lift". Often using the shift key in English typing helps to capitalize the first letter of a sentence, when you are not using the Caps Lock key. On the other hand, the Shift key is used to use the symbol printed above the number or other key.

Like: @ Symbol is on Number Key 2. To use this symbol in your document, you will press Number Key 2 along with Shift Key. @ Symbol will appear in print ie in the document.

(i) Control Key

इस Key का प्रयोग दूसरे अन्य Key के साथ विभिन्न कार्यो को करने के लिए करते हैं.

जैसे: जब हम किसी टेक्स्ट को कॉपी चाहते है तो CTRL Key के साथ C का प्रयोग करते हैं.

This key is used to perform various tasks along with other keys.

Like: When we want to copy any text, we use C with CTRL Key.

(j) Home Key

इस Key का उपयोग कर्सर को पाराग्राफ या लाइन के शुरुआत में ले जाने के लिए करते हैं.

This key is used to move the cursor to the beginning of a paragraph or line.

(k) End Key

इस Key का उपयोग कर्सर को पाराग्राफ या लाइन के अंत में ले जाने के लिए करते हैं.

This key is used to move the cursor to the end of the paragraph or line.

(l) PageUp or PageDn Key

इन दोनों Keys का उपयोग पेज को Scrolling यानि पेज को ऊपर या नीचे ले जाने के लिए करते हैं.

Both these keys are used for scrolling the page i.e. to move the page up or down.

(m) Window Key

इस Key का उपयोग विंडो के मुख्य प्रोग्रामो को चलाने के लिए किया जाता है.

This key is used to run the main programs of the window.

(n) Symbol Key

इन Keys का उपयोग इन पर (Keys पर )चिन्हित खास संकेतों को लिखने के लिए होता है . जैसे: Number Key 1 पर ! (विस्मयादि बोधक) का चिन्ह .

These keys are used to write the special symbols marked on them (on the keys). Like: on Number Key 1! (exclamation mark) sign.

(o) ESC (Escape) Key

इस Key का उपयोग करके वर्तमान किये जा रहे कार्य से बाहर निकलने या अधिकांश समय डायलॉग बॉक्स को हटाने के लिए होता है.

Using this key is used to exit the current task or to remove the dialog box most of the time.

(p) Insert Key

इस Key का उपयोग किसी टेक्स्ट या शब्द के ऊपर दुबारा लिखने के लिए करते हैं .

This key is used to rewrite any text or word.

(q) Alt (Alternate) Key

इस Key का प्रयोग दूसरे अन्य Key के साथ खास कार्यो को पूरा करने के लिए करते हैं.

जैसे: Alt + F4 का उपयोग वर्तमान में चल रहे प्रोग्रामों को बंद करने के लिए करते हैं.

This key is used with other keys to complete special tasks.

For example: Alt + F4 is used to close the currently running programs.

(r) Prnt Scr (Print Screen) Key

इस Key का उपयोग वर्तमान में मौजूद स्क्रीन को छापने के लिए होता है. इसके लिए आपको जिस स्क्रीन को छापना है उस स्क्रीन पर जाकर Prnt Scr Key को दबाना है. (जैसे मोबाइल में स्क्रीन पर दिखाई देने वाले स्क्रीन को कॉपी यानि स्क्रीनशॉट लेने के लिए करते है.) दबाने के साथ ही मौजूदा स्क्रीन कंप्यूटर मेमोरी में कॉपी हो जाती है और इसके बाद जिस डॉक्यूमेंट में रखना है उस डॉक्यूमेंट में जाकर पेस्ट कर देते हैं. कॉपी किया हुआ स्क्रीन आपके डॉक्यूमेंट में छप जायेगा .

This key is used to print the current screen. For this, you have to go to the screen you want to print and press the Prnt Scr key. (For example, the screen visible on the mobile screen is used to copy i.e. to take a screenshot.) With pressing, the current screen is copied in the computer memory and after that, go to the document in which it is to be kept and paste it. . The copied screen will be printed in your document.
